Mountain Alliance staff debating on who would be the bravest and go farthest in the cave!

Wearing headlights for their only source of light, and definitely getting muddy, the ladies show the men how it is done!! What an awesome experience to brag about for years to come!!!

Hospitality House February 13, 2012

Mountain Alliance members challenged themselves in joining up with the community and had the great opportunity to provide food and compassion to our local homeless shelter. What a great experience to serve the community and increase their appreciation for such a great town that supports each and every individual.

We are so proud of our members for embracing each opportunity to help out in the community with open hearts to serve those who need it the most and the donation to create a wonderful meal!

The latest Craft Craze: Monday January 23, 2012

What do you do when it's blistery cold outside?  Tie-dying is no longer a thing of the past!!!  Mountain Alliance members spent the evening staying warm and digging deep to find their creative sides by bringing their old box of crafts and relaxing with Mountain Alliance's Staff.

Nothing better than creating your own cool tie-dye shirt !!

I think he may have gotten more on his hands than the shirt! You think??

Taking a moment to pose for the camera
Now these look like some professional tie-dying skills! Only Mountain Alliance members have that kind of talent.

The next time Mountain Alliance has a craft craze, make sure you are able to come and create your own awesome crafts to brag about at school! One catch though, make sure you are ready to have fun and bring your imagination, a great attitude, and any crafts you might want to share with the group. See you there!

Mountain Alliance Caving Trip

Mountain Alliance members spend an exciting Saturday full of surprise and adventure on an incredible caving trip nestled in Worley. The members prepared for a beautiful day packed with the unexpected and lots of fun in the underground world. Ending a great semester on such a suspenseful caving trip is just what the students needed to build memories. More great pictures and stories are to come after the members spend an overnight trip at Worley's cave this Friday & Saturday (December 9th & 10th).

Taking a moment to hear the instructions for the day and finding out there are no paved paths or lit walkways. They learned how caves are formed, how they are able to still grow and all the cool creatures they would find inside.
Exploring the unknown!
Only Mountain Alliance members can kill all the mud monsters!
Mountain Alliance Boys can face any cave together!

Minute 2 Win It: 11/08/11

Mountain Alliance began the afternoon by sitting down at the park and going over what games they would be enjoying. They spent this stellar afternoon enjoying great games as teams and also individual competitive tasks. The students also enjoyed lots of laughter at their creativity to get the mission accomplished for each task. The students embraced the competitiveness of these 60 second games with open arms and were excited to see who could win the most games in such a short time.

Can this bubble go through the hoop in 60 seconds?

Mountain Alliance members showing what a breeze it is to get as many toilet paper rolls through the hoops!

Many of us asked, would it be better to eat the gumballs or finish this game?

A professional shows us how it's done!

I am a professional at this.. Look at it in mid-air!
Many of the members felt this was their all time favorite game. The goal was to see how many pencils they could keep in the cup down this creative assembly line.
Her face is priceless! No matter what it took she would get all of the gumballs in the bottle to the bottom within 60 seconds!

Mountain Alliance members join up with the community and enjoy a fun day at the newly finished Aline Tower located on the Watauga High School campus.

Debating on whether or not he should take the risk

Sky high!!!!!!

After two long years and many donations, the project is completed and the community embraces a new outdoor adventure for all ages!

"The goal is not necessarily to get to the top, and oftentimes its just as challenging to learn how to belay or keep your partner safe as it is to climb"- Todd

Even the little ones give it a shot!

“It's a great experience; it wears you out,” Wyant said after his climb, adding that the toughest part was the final effort to ascend onto the top platform. “It's a little scary, but when you get there it gives you a sense of accomplishment.”
